Tax Exemption
Are you Tax Exempt?
If your Business or Organization is TAX EXEMPT. We will need to verify exemption prior to removing tax from your order. Please contact customer service if tax has been charged on a recent order or you would like to be set up as tax exempt.
Proof of Exemption
- Please call 888-868-5002 if you would like to apply for tax exempt status.
- We are required by law to have on file, a copy of your Contractor Resale Certificate / Proof of Tax Exemption.
- You can also email info@floorcity.com to see if your eligible.
- Being exempt in one state doesn't provide exemption in all states. If exempt in multiple states, an exemption document for each state is required.
Government Orders
Sales tax does not apply to purchases made by the United States Government. In order to document that a sale has been made to the U.S. Government, we need to obtain a copy of one of the following:
- Federal tax ID certificate
- Certificate of exempt status
- Government Voucher
- Check from the U.S. Government
